I've added a comments feature to the blog... it seems to work though the "no comments" isn't updated immediately after I add a comment.... it should change to "comments" automatically... please check to see if it works for you...

What is a blog? What is it good for?

A good question.....

Our blog is basically an easily-updateable _team_ webpage that is presented chronologically.. an easy place to add notes, comments and links to other websites! Sort of a collection of favorite web sites that we can all share and contribute to.

A team blog like friday1 is a little different from a personal blog which is often a _very_ individualistic and personal online diary... really not very different from a personal homepage. Our team blog is more a group effort (I hope!).

(We can reserve our webforum with its different discussion threads arranged by topic for different purposes, texts to share and comment on, our ongoing stories etc. We can use it for web links too but not as quickly or as easily as our blog.)

To post on our blog you just have to register and sign in at blogger.com and accept the invitation to become a team member of friday1 that I or another moderator can send you.
( Once you sign in a first time and you are made a moderator you get the right to edit any post, to invite new team members and to make other team members moderators.)

Remember... anyone can read the blog at http://friday1.blogspot.com ... but to add things to the blog you go to http://blogger.com and (register and) sign in... A quicker way is to use the "BlogIt!" tool in your Internet Explorer or Netscape toolbar....

The easiest way to add web links to the blog is to use the handy "BlogIt!" tool that you put in the toolbar of your favorite browser. The "BlogIt!" tool is available on the homepage of blogger.com... you just drag it to your browser toolbar! I'll be happy to help if you have problems... (or to show you again next class.....)
